NKOTB

My brother and I both have a real love for music. For the most part, though I'd say both our tastes are rather.. interesting, we tend to agree on what is good and what needs to go away and die.

Avenged Sevenfold = good.

Dave Matthews Band = needs to die.

Chevelle = good.

Any song that has been re-made into a country song = needs to die.

Tanner's affinity, I think, comes from a true appreciation because the man actually has musical talent. He can play the guitar, he can sing, he can even keep a beat! These things are totally lost on me.

My love, I believe, comes from the fact that I've got no musical inclinations whatsoever. And you know how you want/are attracted to things in life you don't have, or can't get, or don't really understand? That's me. That elusive beat in the song, me trying to clap along like a pre-schooler who watches everyone else's hands clap to try to hurry up and do it on time. *sigh*

Anyway - Tanner's suggestions are usually pretty on point but here lately, he's veered off onto an odd, not-so-good path. He keeps arguing with me that these bands are, in fact, talented, and that I need to be more open minded. I wholeheartedly disagree and have been scratching my head over his newly acquired bad taste.

But then mom sent me a picture of us as kids that brought it all back in to perspective.

Please note the Vanilla Ice hair-do and the New Kids On The Block watch that he just HAD to show off in this photo.

Apparently his bad taste was acquired at a young age. Meh meh meh...

Teeny, tiny, little side note: So what if my good pal Colleen informed me of an NKOTB tour this summer and we both agreed we should probably go? What of it?

It's beside the point, is what it is.
